Parent Volunteer Forms

Volunteer Forms that went home last week........................

Remember that if you haven't followed these instructions to be a volunteer than you cannot be part of the Pearson group going to the Perot Museum this Friday.  Please complete this process.  If you do not then you can only be with your child during the field trip.  That means you cannot watch after your child's friends.  It is very simple and approves you fast.  You must fill this out even if you have volunteered for Pearson in the past.  This is a brand new system which goes in affect today, February 1st.

Do it!

Perot Museum Field Trip

Its here!

The field trip to the Perot Museum is approaching!  The field trip will be Friday, February 5.  We will leave at 9:00am from the school and arrive around 10:00am.  You will need to pack a sack lunch for your child.  We will leave the museum at 1:00pm and arrive back at the school by 2:00pm.

If you are planning on going with us to the Perot Museum, you need to follow the volunteer instructions.  We are sending home two letters in the students' pie folders letting you know how to sign up for the new volunteer system.  You must sign up even if you have been volunteering in the past.  Everyone must follow the procedures.  This is a new system that goes into effect right before our field trip.  If you do not sign up then you cannot be part of the Pearson group.

If you decide to go and not follow the Volunteer Program Changes, then you can only be with your child.  You cannot be with the Pearson group and have several others who are friends with your child.  You will be charged full price to enter the museum as well.  So make sure to follow the Volunteer Program Changes.

As part of the new volunteer program, parents need to check in at the front office as soon as you drop off your child if you are planning to go.  After you have checked in the front office successfully, you may start heading to the Perot Museum.  It will most likely be crowded and the line will be long.  This will give you time to pay and get your Perot sticker before we arrive with the students.  It will be $5 if you say you are with the Pearson Elementary group.

Mr. Jenkins will hold a parent meeting on February 3rd to inform you about the field trip.  If you are going or if you have questions please attend.  The meeting will start at 3:15pm in room 408 (the room at the end of the fourth grade hall).

It is very important that the parents wanting to go on the field trip follow the steps to signing up for the volunteer program.  If you do not you cannot go on the field trip with Pearson.
